Alberson seventh in Slocum 50 opener at 34 Raceway

Taking advantage of another Lucas Oil off-weekend, Garrett Alberson joined 39 MARS Late Models at 34 Raceway (West Burlington, Iowa) on Friday and Saturday for the Slocum 50 weekend.

Setting quicktime in his qualifying group, Alberson ran runner-up to Brian Shirley in his heat race and started sixth in the 40-lapper. Garrett recorded a seventh-place outing in the $5,000-to-win feature.

For the $10,555-to-win finale on Saturday, Alberson started 17th in the main event and rolled to an 11th-place outing just outside the Top-10.
