Top 10 Finish to Open Wild West Shootout in Arizona

On Saturday night Garrett Alberson returned to action at FK Rod Ends Arizona Speedway (Queen Creek, Arizona) behind the wheel of the No. 2a Super Late Model for the 14th annual Wild West Shootout. In a stout field of 46 cars, Alberson fell one spot short of a transfer position in his heat with a 4th place finish. Coming in 2nd in his B-Main behind Justin Duty, Garrett locked into the 22nd-starting position for the opening night feature. Wheeling his way into the Top-10, Garrett Alberson passed 12 cars in the 30-lap affair to place 10th.

Following the fourth fastest lap in his time trial group on Sunday, Garrett grabbed the 3rd and final transfer spot in his heat which positioned him 12th on the starting grid for the $5,000-to-win A-Main. Losing one spot in the 40-lap affair, Alberson posted a 13th place outing.
