Fifth-place finish in MLRA Spring Nationals at Wheatland
Garrett Alberson returned with the Lucas Oil Midwest LateModel Racing Association (MLRA) on Friday afternoon at Lucas Oil Speedway (Wheatland, Mo.) for the two-day MLRA Spring Nationals. In a field of 36 cars, Alberson edged his way into the opening night feature with a fourth-place finish in his heat. On Saturday, Garrett followed up the eighth-fastest time in his group with a second-place finish in his ehat. Starting the $7,000-to-win A-Main in fifth, Alberson jumped up three positions to finish fifth. He trailed Payton Looney, Chad Simpson, Chris Simpson, and Logan Martin to the checkers.
