Alberson scores fourth-place finish at 34 Raceway
Garrett Alberson returned to action in the Hawkeye State on Friday evening at 300 Raceway (Farley, Iowa) for the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) sanctioned Truck Country 50. With a fifth-place finish in his heat race pinning him on the eighth row for the $12,000-to-win A-Main, Alberson marched through the field nine spots in the 50-lapper to finish sixth. For the CRST Transportation Solution 50 on Sunday afternoon at 34 Raceway (West Burlington, Iowa) after Mother Nature pushed the event back a day, Garrett came in seventh-fastest in his group before placing second in his heat. With $15,000 on the line in the feature, Alberson carried a steady pace in the 50-lap affair to place fourth. He trailed Tim McCreadie, Brandon Sheppard, and Earl Pearson Jr. to the checkers with Hudson O’Neal coming fifth.
Garrett is 10th in the latest LOLMDS point standings.
