Alberson scores ninth-place finish in Mountain Moonshine Classic prelim

In a stout field of 45 cars, Alberson secured his spot into one of two preliminary features with a fifth-place finish in his heat. With $5,000 on the line, Garrett gained one position to finish ninth.

The following night, Garrett came in fifth in his heat before placing second in his B-Main. Starting the $50,000-to-win Mountain Moonshine Classic in 20th, Alberson inched forward five spots in the 60-lap affair, crossing the line in 15th.

Garrett is eighth in the latest LOLMDS point standings.
