Garrett Alberson finishes seventh in Firecracker 100

With 54 Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) entries packed into the pits, Garrett timed in sixth-fastest in his group before placing second in his heat. With $6,000 on the line in the feature, Alberson gained one spot in the 30-lapper to finish 10th.

On Friday, Alberson’s second-place finish in his heat race pinned him on the sixth row for the $6,000-to-win A-Main. Coming one spot shy of a Top-5 finish, Garrett gained six spots to register a sixth-place finish.

For the Firecracker 100 finale on Saturday evening, Garrett secured his spot into the $50,000-to-win main event with a second-place finish in his heat. Starting in eighth, Alberson clawed forward one spot in the 100-lap affair to place seventh.

Garrett sits in eighth in the latest LOLMDS point standings.
