Top-10 finish in North-South prelim at Florence Speedway

After losing Thursday’s prelim to wet weather shortly after qualifying finished, Alberson laid down the 12th-fastest time in his group on Friday before placing fourth in his heat. With $5,000 on the line in the feature, Garrett gained two spots in the 25-lapper to finish 10th.
On Saturday, Garrett followed up a seventh-place finish in his heat with an 11th-to-fourth showing in his B-Main, missing a transfer spot by two cars. Relying on a provisional into the $75,000-to-win North-South 100, Alberson improved five positions in the 100-lap affair, crossing the line in 18th.
Garrett sits in seventh in the latest LOLMDS point standings.
