Alberson places eighth in Rumble by the River prelim at Port Royal

With the stout field of 51 cars split into two groups for Friday’s prelim, Garrett’s fourth-place finish in his heat race pinned him on the sixth row for his $5,000-to-win A-Main. Moving forward four spots in the 25-lapper, Alberson crossed the line in eighth.
On Saturday, Alberson edged his way into the Rumble by the River finale with the third-and-final transfer spot in his heat race. With $50,000 on the line, Garrett gained four positions in the 50-lap affair to finish 12th.
Garrett remains in seventh in the latest LOLMDS point standings.
