Third-place finish in Peach State Classic opener at Senoia Raceway
On Friday, Roberts Motorsports and pilot Garrett Alberson, trekked south to Senoia Raceway (Senoia, Ga.) to compete in the Castrol FloRacing Night in America miniseries finale.
With 52 Late Models on the grounds for the two-day Peach State Classic, Garrett laid down the sixth-fastest time in his group before placing second in his heat. Starting the $20,000-to-win preliminary feature in 11th, Alberson advanced through the field eight spots in the 50-lap prelim to finish third. He trailed Kyle Bronson and Spencer Hughes across the line with Dennis Erb Jr. and Hudson O’Neal completing the Top-5 finishers.
For Saturday’s finale, Alberson edged his way into the $53,053-to-win Peach State Classic A-Main with the fourth-and-final transfer spot in his heat. Inching forward three spots in the 75-lap affair, Garrett crossed the line in 10th.
Garrett finished sixth in the final Castrol FloRacing Night in America point standings.
