Alberson finishes eighth in Show-Me 100 at Lucas Oil Speedway
Garrett Alberson and the Roberts Motorsports team unloaded at Lucas Oil Speedway (Wheatland, Mo.) on Thursday afternoon to kick off their Memorial Day weekend with the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS).
With 59 Late Models on the grounds for the 10th annual Cowboy Classic, Alberson topped the speed charts to claim the fast time honors before placing third in his heat. Moving forward two spots in the 45-lap prelim, Garrett recorded an 11th-place finish.
For Friday’s Don and Billie Gibson Tribute, Garrett’s fourth-to-second run in his heat placed him on the sixth row for the feature. With $6,000 on the line, Alberson shuffled a few spots early before crossing the line in 15th.
Sitting 10th overall in preliminary point standings for Saturday’s $50,000-to-win Show-Me 100 finale, Alberson took the green in 10th and went onto place eighth in the 100-lapper.
Garrett is currently 13th in the latest LOLMDS point standings.
