Alberson races to eighth-place finish in Freedom 60 at Muskingum
Garrett Alberson took the Roberts Motorsports No. 58 Longhorn Chassis Late Model into battle with the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) on Friday evening for the 17th annual Freedom 60 weekend at Muskingum County Speedway (Zanesville, OH).
With his qualifying effort in his time trial group placing him on the third row for his preliminary feature, Garrett improved one spot in 20-lap affair to register a fifth-place finish. He chased Hudson O’Neal, Devin Moran, Ross Robinson, and Matt Cosner to the checkers.
Locked into the 14th-starting position for Saturday’s $30,000-to-win Freedom 60, Alberson advanced forward six positions in the 60-lapper to finish ninth.
Garrett is currently 12th in the latest LOLMDS point standings.
