Roberts Motorsports follows LOLMDS to Batesville for Topless 100
Garrett Alberson and the Roberts Motorsports team ventured to Batesville Motor Speedway (Batesville, Ark.) on Friday afternoon to compete in the two-day Comp Cams Topless 100.
With 64 cars amassed for the event co-sanctioned by the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) and the Comp Cams Super Dirt Series (CCSDS), Alberson grabbed the third-and-final transfer spot in his heat, which positioned him on the seventh row for the preliminary feature. With $5,000 on the line, Garrett gained three spots to finish 11th.
Locked into the 11th-starting position for Saturday night’s $50,000-to-win Comp Cams Topless 100 finale, Garrett dropped eight spots in the 100-lap affair to place 19th.
Garrett remains 12th in the latest LOLMDS point standings.
