Sixth-place finishes at Tyler County and Raceway 7
Roberts Motorsports and Garrett Alberson were one of 37 teams entered at Tyler County Speedway (Middlebourne, W. Va.) on Wednesday for the ninth stop of the Castrol FloRacing Night in America miniseries.
Racing into the $23,023-to-win A-Main with a third-to-first showing in an eventful heat race, Alberson rolled to a sixth-place finish in the 50-lapper.
For the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) sanctioned Great Lakes 50 on Friday at Raceway 7 (Conneaut, Ohio), Garrett scored another top-10 in the main event after a heat victory placed him on the pole. Chasing a $10,000 payday, Alberson ran second for the opening 17 circuits before ultimately crossing the line in sixth.
The weekend drew to a close on Saturday at Pittsburgh’s Pa. Motor Speedway (Pittsburgh, Pa.) with Alberson driving into the $30,000-to-win Pittsburgher A-Main with a seventh-to-second charge in his B-Main. Moving forward five spots in the 75-lap affair, Garrett recorded a 14th-place outing.
Garrett sits 11th in the latest LOLMDS point standings.
