Garrett Alberson finishes 11th in LOLMDS title chase
To conclude the season for the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS), Garrett Alberson entered the Roberts Motorsports No. 58 at Eldora Speedway (Rossburg, Ohio) over the weekend for the 43rd running of the General Tire Dirt Track World Championship presented by Automotive Racing Products.
With the originally scheduled two-day show condensed by persistent rain throughout the weekend, Alberson failed to transfer out of his heat race on Sunday, relegating him into a B-Main later that night. Coming one spot shy with a third-place outing, Garrett received a provisional into the $100,000-to-win Dirt Track World Championship.
Starting the finale in 27th, Garrett climbed as high as 11th before ultimately retiring early from the 100-lapper on lap 70 due to rough track conditions. He was scored 12th in the final rundown.
Garrett wrapped up Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series title chase in 11th in the final point standings.
