Garrett Alberson sixth in Show-Me 100; Runner-up in Cowboy Classic at Lucas Oil Speedway

Kicking his Memorial Day weekend on Thursday, Garrett Alberson checked into Lucas Oil Speedway (Wheatland, Mo.) for the first night of the Show-Me 100 weekend with the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series.

Earning the pole position for the $10,000-to-win Cowboy Classic, Alberson led the majority of the 45-lap feature before a late caution allowed Ricky Thornton Jr. to get by him with just a couple laps left. Alberson settled for a runner-up finish while Devin Moran completed the podium.

Starting on the pole for the second night in a row, Garrett battled inside the Top-5 for the Tribute to Don and Billie Gibson feature before fading to finish sixth.

Locking himself into Saturday's $50,000-to-win finale, Alberson started the Show-Me 100 from the front-row and landed just outside Top-5 once again with a sixth-place outing.

Alberson is currently seventh in the LOLMDS point standings.

Making a stop at Macon (Ill.) Speedway on Tuesday afternoon for the $20,000-to-win Castrol FloRacing Night in America opener, Alberson survived a hectic 50-lap feature and finished inside the Top-10 in seventh.
