Alberson collects pair of ninth-place finishes at Smoky Mountain and Ultimate
Garrett Alberson checked in at Smoky Mountain Speedway (Maryville, Tenn.) on Friday afternoon for the first night of the Mountain Moonshine Classic with the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series.
With 42 Late Models on hand, Alberson qualified second-fastest in his group before falling to third in his heat race. Starting 11th in the $10,000-to-win opener, Garrett made his way inside the Top-10 and recorded a ninth-place finish.
Once again finishing third in his heat race, Garrett lined up on the sixth-row for Saturday's $50,000-to-win finale where he would wind up 15th after 60 laps.
Making the trip to Ultimate Motorsports & RV Park (Elkin, N.C.) on Sunday for the Sidney Langston Memorial, Alberson started 16th in the $15,000-to-win feature and finished inside the Top-10 in ninth.
