Garrett Alberson seventh in Firecracker 100 finale from Lernerville Speedway
Making the long haul to The Keystone State, Garrett Alberson unloaded his Ken Roberts Motorsports No. 58 machine at Lernerville Speedway (Sarver, Pa.) for the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series-sanctioned Firecracker 100.
With 53 cars checked in on Thursday, Alberson qualified second-fastest and picked up a heat race victory to start on the front row of his preliminary feature. Slipping back to fifth in the quick 25-lap feature, Garrett rallied to finish on the podium in third behind Ricky Thornton Jr. and Mike Marlar.
For another $5,000-to-win prelim on Friday, Garrett started seventh in the feature and finished just off the podium in fourth.
Winning the final heat race on Saturday, Alberson started sixth in the 18th-running of the Firecracker 100. Moving inside the Top-5 early in the 100 lapper, Garrett faded back a few positions and took the checkered flag in seventh.
Alberson is currently seventh in the series points standings.
