Pair of fifth-place finishes with FloRacing Night in America and Lucas Oi
Before setting off to Iowa with the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series, Garrett Alberson stopped into Lincoln (Ill.) Speedway on Monday afternoon for the second Castrol FloRacing Night in America event of the season.
Qualifying fourth-fastest out of 22 Late Models, Alberson finished third in his heat race to earn an A-Main starting spot on the fourth-row. Making up two spots in the $20,000-to-win main event, Garrett rounded out the Top-5 in fifth.
Rejoining the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series on Thursday afternoon, Alberson scored another solid Top-5 finish in the $15,555-to-win Slocum 50 at 34 Raceway (West Burlington, Iowa).
Friday's NAPA Know How 50 at Tri-City Speedway (Granite City, Ill.) was postponed due to unfavorable forecasts as well as Saturday's Diamond Nationals at Lucas Oil Speedway (Wheatland, Mo.).
