Alberson tackles long stretch with Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series; podium outing in Kosiski Family 53
Following the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series into a busy week of competition, Garrett Alberson started off his week with a pair of $10,000-to-win events at Eagle (Neb.) Raceway and Shelby County Speedway (Harlan, Iowa).
Taking quick time honors on Monday, Alberson led the field to the green flag before dropping to 11th when the checkered flag flew. The following night, Garrett took part in a spirited battle for the lead with Hudson O'Neal and Ricky Thornton Jr before settling for third on the podium.
After a single off day, Alberson was right back in action on Thursday night at Huset's Speedway (Brandon, S.D.) for the first night of the Silver Dollar Nationals presented by MyRacePass.
Recording 17th and seventh-place finishes respectively in both $10,000-to-win prelims, Garrett started 11th in the $53,000 showdown and recorded a Top-10 outing in eighth.
In the point standings, Alberson currently sits sixth.
