Garrett Alberson lands on Topless 100 podium at Batesville with Lucas Oil

Racing with a heavy heart, Garrett Alberson and his Roberts Motorsports team rolled into Batesville Motor Speedway (Locust Grove, Ark.) on Friday afternoon for the first night of the Topless 100.

Among 54 competitors for opening night, Alberson moved from fourth-to-second in his heat race before recording a Top-10 finish in the $5,000-to-win preliminary feature.

Locked into Saturday's $50,000-to-win finale, Garrett started from the fifth-row in the 100-lap feature and slowly moved into the Top-3 where he would score a third-place finish in the crown jewel. He trailed Tim McCreadie and Jonathan Davenport while Ethan Dotson and Ricky Thornton Jr. completed the Top-5.

Alberson is currently sixth in the LOLMDS point standings.
