Fourth-place outing in Knoxville Nationals with Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series
Following the tour to the great state of Iowa, Garrett Alberson unloaded his Sunoco Race Fuels No. 58 machine at Knoxville (Iowa) Raceway for the 20th-annual Knoxville Nationals with the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series.
With preliminary features slated for Thursday and Friday, Alberson finished 11th in his first $7,000-to-win prelim before recording a Top-10 finish in a prelim on Friday.
Locked into the 75-lap finale on Saturday, Alberson stormed forward from his sixth-row starting position and landed inside the Top-5 in the $50,000-to-win feature. He trailed Bobby Pierce, Brian Shirley, and Devin Moran while Tim McCreadie completed the Top-5.
Alberson is currently sixth in the LOLMDS point standings.
