Garrett Alberson opens 2025 with runner-up outing in Wild West Shootout at Vado Speedway Park
Starting his 2025 season out West, Garrett Alberson unloaded his Roberts Motorsports No. 58 Longhorn at Vado (N.M.) Speedway Park on Saturday afternoon for the first night of the Wild West Shootout.
Laying down the quickest lap out of 47 entries on the grounds, Alberson picked up a heat race victory and redrew the two to start on the outside pole. With $25,000 up for grabs in the opener, Garrett led the first 29 laps before Bobby Pierce snatched the lead away and forced him to settle for a runner-up finish.
The following night, Alberson once again put down the fastest lap of the night and grabbed another heat race win but unfortunately redrew the four. Garrett battled inside the Top-5 but fell outside and recorded a sixth-place finish.
