Garrett Alberson
Sixth-place finish with Lucas Oil at Circle City; Podium outing at Fairbury Speedway
Opening up the month of the May in the Midwest, Garrett Alberson followed the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series to Circle City Raceway (Indianapolis, Ind.) to kick off the doubleheader weekend.
With 27 Late Models on site, Alberson finished runner-up in his heat race and earned a second-row spot on the starting grid. Garrett raced to a solid sixth-place finish just outside the Top-5.
Saturday's $25,000-to-win show at Florence Speedway (Walton, Ky.) was rained out.
With the rainout, Alberson headed to Fairbury (Ill.) Speedway on Saturday evening and recorded a podium finish in the 30-lap, $2,500-to-win main event. He trailed Jason Feger and Jake Little while McKay Wenger and Allen Weisser completed the Top-5.
Garrett currently sits fourth in the LOLMDS point standings.
