Alberson wraps up High Bank Heist with eighth-place finish in $50,000 finale
Garrett Alberson and his Roberts Motorsports team made a stop at Marshalltown (Iowa) Speedway on Tuesday afternoon for a $20,000-to-win FloRacing Night in America show ahead of the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series weekend at Eagle (Neb.) Raceway.
Moving from fourth-to-second in his heat, Alberson started seventh in the 50 lapper and wound up just outside the Top-10 in 11th.
Alberson kicked off the three-day High Bank Heist as he started on the front-row of the $10,000-to-win opener and recorded a fifth-place finish to round out the Top-5. Garrett started seventh on Friday evening and finished fifth for the second night in a row.
Looking for his best run on Saturday, Alberson set quicktime among his qualifying group and took the heat race victory which placed him on the pole for the 75-lap, $50,000-to-win finale. Garrett faded to 10th but rallied to finish eighth in the feature.
Alberson is now fourth in the LOLMDS point standings.
