Garrett Alberson brings Roberts Motorsports pair of Top-5 finishes over Dream weekend at Eldora
Garrett Alberson unloaded his Roberts Motorsports No. 58 Longhorn Chassis at Eldora Speedway (Rossburg, Ohio) on Wednesday afternoon as over 80 Super Late Model drivers kicked off the 31st-annual Dream weekend at The Big E.
Laying down the second-fastest lap in his stacked qualifying group, Alberson picked up a heat race win and started third in the $20,000-to-win opener. Garrett went on to place fifth in the FloRacing Night in America show.
Slated for Friday's preliminary night, Garrett topped his qualifying group but finished third in his heat race after the invert. Alberson started seventh in the $30,000-to-win prelim and drove to a Top-5 finish in fourth. He trailed Jonathan Davenport, Brandon Overton, and Ricky Thornton Jr. while Timothy Culp completed the Top-5.
Alberson was primed for Saturday's main event and raced his way into the $100,000-to-win finale by grabbing the final transfer spot in his heat. Garrett started 18th in the 100-lap feature and recorded a 16th-place outing.
