Garrett Alberson
Runner-up in Freedom 60 at Muskingum County with Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series
For the first of two nights with the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series, Garrett Alberson was one of 26 Super Late Models entries at Atomic Speedway (Chillicothe, Ohio) for the $25,000-to-win Fourth of July special.
Alberson fell back in his heat race which relegated him to a 22nd-place starting position where he would make up five spots and finish 17th.
Finding much better luck at Muskingum County Speedway (Dresden, Ohio) on Saturday night, Garrett qualified second-fastest in his group and picked up a heat race win. Alberson started fourth in the 60-lap finale and crossed the line in third but was moved up to second after Jonathan Davenport failed the droop check.
Alberson is currently fifth in the series point standings.
