Alberson records four Top-10 finishes at Shelby County and Husets
Finishing out a long trek with the national tour, Garrett Alberson was one of 38 Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series entries at Shelby County Speedway (Harlan, Iowa) on Tuesday afternoon for the Kosiski Family 53.
Outdueling Devin Moran for a heat race victory, Alberson started on the pole of the 53-lap main event, but faded to finish outside the Top-5 in seventh.
On Thursday, the Ken Roberts team prepped for the 15th-annual Silver Dollar Nationals which spanned over the next three days at Husets Speedway (Brandon, S.D.).
Alberson recorded strong runs of fourth and sixth in each $10,000-to-win preliminary night before earning a front-row starting spot in the $75,000-to-win finale. Alberson fell back and finished sixth in the rain-shortened main event.
Alberson is fifth in the current LOLMDS point standings.
