Alberson endures challenging weekend following wreck at Batesville Motor Speedway
Garrett Alberson took off the roof of his Roberts Motorsports machine for the weekend and rolled into Batesville Motor Speedway (Locust Grove, Ark.) on Friday for the 33rd-annual Topless 100 with the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series.
Alberson started third in his preliminary feature on Friday evening and battled towards the front of the field. Garrett threw a slider on a lap-7 restart and contact from another competitor sent him careening into the wall. Alberson was unhurt and was scored 21st in the running order.
In Saturday's $50,000-to-win finale, Garrett started 23rd and quietly made his way to 13th after 100-laps.
