Garrett Alberson secures opening night victory at Lernerville Speedway with Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series

Moving the famed Hillbilly Hundred to Pennsylvania this season, Garrett Alberson followed the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series to Lernerville Speedway (Sarver, Pa.) on Friday afternoon to kick off the two-day crown jewel event.

Alberson set fast time out of 40 Late Model entries and picked up the checkered flag in his heat race which slated him for the outside pole in the $10,000-to-win opener. Garrett took the lead from the drop of the green flag and led all 40-laps in dominating fashion to take home night one of the Hillbilly Hundred.

With $30,000 on the line Saturday evening, Garrett qualified seventh-fastest in his group and finished third in his heat race. Alberson lost three positions in the 100-lap feature event and finished 12th.

Alberson remains sixth in the LOLMDS point standings.
