Alberson races into 55th World 100; fifth-place showing in preliminary feature
Unveiling a special wrap that honors his car owner's father, Garrett Alberson joined a field of over 100 Super Late Models at Eldora Speedway (Rossburg, Ohio) with the Roberts Motorsports team for the 55th-running of the World 100.
Alberson showed speed in preliminary action on both nights as he picked up a Top-5 in Thursday's opener before finishing eighth in a preliminary feature on Friday. With a six-car inversion in place, Garrett went sixth-to-fourth in a heat race and then transferred to the main event through a B-Main. Alberson started on the last-row for the 100-lap, $72,000-to-win finale and wound up 26th.
