Alberson closes season with Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series in Dirt Track World Championship
The Roberts Motorsports team made the trip to Eldora Speedway (Rossburg, Ohio) for the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series finale as Garrett Alberson joined a field of 59 Super Late Models for the 45th-annual Dirt Track World Championship.
Alberson put down the second-fastest lap in his qualifying group and then picked up a heat race win over Dennis Erb Jr. and Jason Jameson. Garrett earned the fourth-starting position for Saturday's $100,000-to-win finale, but wound up 23rd after hitting the wall on lap 35.
Alberson finished sixth in the series point standings.
