Alberson records trio of Top-5 finishes across Northeast with Lucas Oil

Heading North for a tripleheader across three states, Garrett Alberson and the Roberts Motorsports team rolled into Georgetown (Del.) Speedway on Friday afternoon to kick off the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series weekend.

Starting 12th in the $20,049-to-win main event, Alberson charged through the field and wound up on the podium in third behind Devin Moran and Ricky Thornton Jr.

Rolling with the momemtum into Hagerstown (Md.) Speedway for Saturday's event, Alberson set quicktime in his qualifying group and grabbed the win in his heat race. Starting on the front-row with $25,000 on the line, Garrett led the first 31 circuits of the 50 lapper before Ricky Thornton Jr. got around him. Alberson settled for a runner-up finish behind RTJ while Daulton Wilson finished third.

As the team made their way to Port Royal (Pa.) Speedway on Sunday to wrap up the three-day weekend, Garrett once again picked up a heat race win and started on the front-row for the main event. Garrett flirted with the lead early in the 50-lapper but ultimately fell to fourth when the checkers flew.

Garrett currently sits fourth in the LOLMDS point standings.
