Alberson finishes 12th in FALS Spring Shootout after rainy Illinois Speedweek

Navigating through wet weather all week, Garrett Alberson kicked off Illinois Speedweek with FloRacing Night in America on Wednesday evening at Spoon River Speedway (Canton, Ill.) with a $20,000-to-win show after losing the series opener at LaSalle (Ill.) Speedway on Tuesday evening.

Finishing third in a heat race, Alberson started 10th and finished 17th in the 50-lap feature. The Thursday night show at Lincoln (Ill.) Speedway was washed out after rain showers hit the facility during heat races.

Garrett then went to Fairbury (Ill.) Speedway on Saturday for the Spring Shootout after the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series weekend opener at Farmer City (Ill.) Raceway was also lost to Mother Nature. Alberson started third in the $30,000-to-win feature, but wound up outside the Top-10 in 12th.
